Perhaps it is a factor of our size, or perhaps it is just part and parcel of the boarding school experience. Whatever the cause, Academy students both past and present confirm the value of the relationships that are formed here at school, and not just the relationships with peers. Houghton Academy is a place where people learn and practice what it takes to get along with others in community. In the dorms and in the classroom, students and faculty alike master the skills of relating based on the conviction that relationships grow best when we consider others as more important than ourselves.
