National Honor Society

The Academy has a local chapter of the National Honor Society.

Membership in the NHS is a nationally recognized honor that is awarded to high school students on the basis of their scholarship, leadership, character and service.

Students who have been enrolled for at least one full semester and who have a cumulative grade point average of 88 are evaluated at the end of the first semester each year. The Academy adheres to the selection process as detailed by the national organization. The formal induction ceremony for approved candidates is held in chapel each February.

Members of the NHS enjoy certain privileges and responsibilities and are obligated to set a positive example to their schoolmates.
