As a teacher, I share the excitement of storytelling with young people in the hopes that they too might develop into writers.  To that end, I teach my students to analyze the artistry of writers, encouraging their appreciation of literary craftsmanship. Through writing reader responses and composing their own tales & poetry, they share in the creative process. Together we study drama, fiction, poetry, and nonfiction to become more aware of our worlds and ourselves. Developing our speaking and writing skills is hard work, but we press on in these areas as well so that we might better please God, grow in Christian character, and serve others in the future.
